Fernando Gomez-Pallete Rivas. Fernando comenzo su carrera profesional en la antigua ENSIDESA, en Aviles, pasando por diferentes puestos tecnicos y comerciales, hasta llegar a Director de Exportacion. Posteriormente paso al antiguo INI, donde desempeño funciones de asesoramiento en el proceso de reconversion de la industria y, posteriormente, fue Director en la Gerencia Siderurgica, organismo adscrito al Ministerio de Industria, que gestiono los procesos de la reconversion del acero comun, de la siderurgia integral y de los aceros especiales, siendo nombrado posteriormente Presidente de UNESID. Cuando D. Guillermo Ulacia le sustituyo como Presidente, fue nombrado Presidente de Honor de la asociacion. A ella queremos invitar a todos los Organismos de Investigacion, Empresas e Instituciones con las que el CENIM ha estado colaborando en toda su trayectoria, asi como a aquellos interesados por conocer, de primera mano, la investigacion en el area y las propias instalaciones del CENIM, pues habra una visita guiada. El SIMPOSIO tendra lugar en el Centro de Investigaciones Biologicas en Madrid, edificio anexo al propio CENIM, puesto que posee una sala con capacidad mayor que las del CENIM. It will be held in IJmuiden, the Netherlands from Wednesday, 9th October, till Friday, 11th October 2013. The organizers are Tata Steel, Harsco Metals Holland and Pelt & Hooykaas. The title of the conference will be: "Don&'t waste your secondary resources". The Conference Centre of the Tata Steel Dudok Huis in Velsen Noord, where the European Slag Conference will be held, is only 20 miles away from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The Conference will start on 9th October with a warm welcome in the Dudok Huis and presentations of papers.
